⚠️ Authentication: All Hikvision cameras use HTTP Digest Auth. Two-step: first request gets a 401 challenge, second request includes MD5 response. Most media players (VLC, iSpy, Blue Iris) handle this automatically.

🔧 Troubleshooting Guide

All PLV cameras offline VPN tunnel down between Head Office and PLV site Check VPN router at PLV (103.186.18.213). Ping 192.168.115.11 from HO. Restart VPN router if needed.
Single camera offline (others on same NVR OK) Camera disconnected from NVR, network port issue, or camera power failure Check NVR channel view. Verify cable at camera and switch port. Power-cycle camera.
NVR reachable but snapshot fails Channel not active, camera offline at NVR level, or stream encoding issue Open NVR web UI → Live View. Check if channel shows video. Restart specific channel in NVR settings.
WO-Office-2 camera offline Switch port issue on WO-CCTV Switch 1 Port 7, or camera power failure Check Port 7 on switch 9C-A2-F4-68-E9-C3 in Omada. Power-cycle the camera (POE port reset).
Snapshot image is black or corrupted Camera lens blocked, IR mode issue, or image encoding problem Check physical camera orientation. Open live view in NVR. Reset image settings to default.
